Executive Development by Gaining Expertise (EDGE)

Designed to accelerate the readiness of key talent for senior-level roles within Sonepar USA and consists of four key areas: strategic planning and execution; change leadership; organizational leadership; and diversity, equity and inclusion.

This strategic program equips our sales leaders with the tools, insights, and skills required to drive higher profitability, significant growth in gross margin, and organic expansion to increase our presence in existing and new markets.

An internal track to develop associates as lighting and controls specialists. By expanding our existing network of specialists, we can offer knowledgeable support to customers across the US while providing career development opportunities for associates.

The six-month long program matches mentees to mentors within the organization. Mentees gain knowledge, career skills, a supportive network, lasting relationships and exposure to senior leaders at the company.

Sonepar Training for Emerging Professionals (STEP) is a rotational development program for recent grads that offers exposure to several career tracks through meaningful work, formal training, the chance to connect with senior leaders, and mentoring.

Sonepar also conducts skills-based development for associates, including courses on change management, leadership effectiveness, cohesive teams and the Insights Discovery Course to help individuals and leaders foster respectful, productive and positive working relationships.
