At Sonepar USA our operating companies embrace and empower veterans, and in turn, are enriched by their experiences, perspectives, and capabilities. We champion providing opportunities to transitioning military, veterans, and military spouses leveraging their unique skillsets, backgrounds and numerous attributes, including respect, integrity, reliability, and working as team.

Sonepar's founder, Henri Coisne, received training at a flying school in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and bravely fought to free his home country of France from Nazi occupation during World War II. He continued his military career, rising from a pilot to commander of the French 2/92 Aquitaine squadron. Henri retired from the army in 1962 to join the business world, founding the company that would become Sonepar in 1969.
